The information and instructions contained in this guide have been prepared to make your packing and moving easier, and to reduce unnecessary delays for Katy Movers—and you. If you follow these instructions, you will be able to transfer to your new location smoothly and efficiently.

Move Preparation

Your move is priced according to the inventory and conditions you give us. You have until the day before your move to make any necessary changes. Any changes you make will be included in your new guaranteed price. The movers cannot take any items for free or delete any items the day of the move. We will be glad to move any items not listed at a reasonable additional charge. (Exception Hourly moves).

1. Many of our customers prefer to save money by having us move only their large bulky items while they take their small items in their car, however we would be happy to take even your smaller items which must be packed in sealed Boxes.
   
2. We recommend you move your exceptionally fragile items and/or valuable items in your car, example: Jewelry and non-replaceables. You may also choose to move glass shelves/tops, mirrors, lamps and marble tops in your car, unless properly packed.
   
3. Disassemble and reassemble are not included in the price you are quoted unless you specifically request this service. Many of our customers prefer to handle this themselves and save money (example: bed, dresser mirror, washer, dryer, & icemakers). We can not be held responsible for service preformed on appliances, as we are not specialists in this field. Movers carry standard tools only. Any specialty tools should be provided by customers.
